Cool Fall
Cool Fall occupies the rarefied top of flashlight collecting — its SPY series is widely regarded as a grail among enthusiasts. The maker surfaced on CPF in 2005 and developed the first SPY, the 005, before opening its own forum among CPF's custom builders. Each SPY is an all-weather computer housed in a custom titanium body that produces light — the engineering blends machining, electrical design, and embedded programming. The signature control is a rotary knob that flicks instantly through six output levels; the 007 is the rugged, practical model most owners start with, the 005 carries a retro feel, and the Tri-V is aimed at hardcore enthusiasts. Higher configurations add details like a flush sapphire lens and a haptic-feedback notification vibrator. The Tri-V's final run was a limited edition, now sold out as the complete part sets were exhausted.
