Reylight
ReyLight is the brainchild of Rey Ye, a Chinese industrial design engineer. In the early 2010s, Rey was an active member of flashlight forums like CPF and BLF.
He noticed a massive gap in the market: buyers could only choose between cheap, mass-produced aluminum flashlights or ultra-expensive custom lights ($400+) from US makers. Leveraging his design background and proximity to high-precision machine shops in China, Rey stepped in to bridge the gap.
2017: The "Pineapple" Breakthrough
After a few successful community projects, Rey founded ReyLight in 2017. His breakthrough came with the release of the ReyLight Pineapple.
